How Virtual Volunteers Can Help

In order to support the health of our community through social distancing, Aquinas Outreach & Engagement is not advising individuals to participate in person-to-person community engagement or service experiences and will not be promoting or hosting in-person engagement events.

Instead, resources for virtual engagement and service opportunities are available below and will be updated as they become available.

We encourage all our community partners to connect with us by sending an email to AQengagement@c178.net and share their virtual opportunities with us, so we can help and serve the greater Grand Rapids community.

Stay In/Help Out

As a result of precautions taken surrounding COVID-19, all in-person volunteer and service opportunities coordinated by the Aquinas Office for Outreach and Engagement are currently suspended.

However, there are still ways to get involved in the local community by participating as a Virtual Volunteer (VV). VV opportunities for high-school, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as working professionals are listed below.

Also, check out the Volunteer Michigan’s virtual volunteering page to see how you can volunteer remotely for community partners in counties across the state and with the United Way. Some current opportunities serve Kalamazoo, Kent, Muskegon, Oceana, Washtenaw counties and more.
